Q. What do you teach in ICEV?
I teach Architect class on the main programme, and on a Saturday I teach Mercury and Mars classes for the KITE programme.
Q. What do you think about the students at ICEV?
The students are adorable, inspirational, loving, caring, crazy, funny and full of surprises! The best part of the job is teaching these kids, making them laugh, teaching them English and seeing the change from the start of the week when they are shy and homesick, to the end of the week when they are sad to be leaving.
Q. What would you like to do in your future?
My goals in life are to speak a second language fluently, have a job that I love and enjoy (that one has already been achieved), fall in love and get married, and perhaps live here in Korea for the rest of my life! I would love to visit all different countries in Asia and eat lots different foods, see beautiful things and share these experiences with someone. Maybe one day I will also have kids of my own; I never thought I would want them, but since teaching here at ICEV my mind has changed slightly on that subject.
Q. Final comments for the students?
Come to ICEV! Have fun, speak lots of English, be crazy, be wild, be shy, be quiet, be nerdy, be colourful, be normal; importantly just be yourself! and when it comes to doing things you want to do in life, don’t let fear control you, JUST DO IT!
